Cyfle Newydd i Ferched: Sefydlu Adran Bêl-droed Merched Newydd ar Y Traeth
Mae Clwb Pêl-droed Porthmadog yn falch o gyhoeddi ei fwriad i sefydlu adran bêl-droed merched newydd o fewn y clwb. Nod y fenter hon yw denu chwaraewyr newydd — boed yn bêl-droedwyr profiadol neu’n unigolion sy’n dymuno cymryd eu camau cyntaf yn y gamp — i ymuno â thîm merched newydd Porthmadog.
Mae datblygu tîm merched yn gam strategol ac arwyddocaol i’r clwb. Fe’i hystyriir yn gam naturiol nesaf wrth sicrhau dyfodol cynaliadwy i’r gamp yn y dref a’r ardal gyfagos.
Drwy sefydlu’r adran newydd hon, mae’r clwb yn anelu at gryfhau a datblygu pêl-droed merched yn lleol, meithrin llwyddiant hirdymor ac annog mwy o ferched a genethod i gymryd rhan yn y gamp ar lefel wreiddiau. Disgwylir hefyd i’r fenter gryfhau cysylltiadau cymunedol rhwng y clwb, pobl Porthmadog a’r ardal ehangach.
Mae’r cyfle ar agor i ferched 16 oed a hŷn, gyda’r sesiwn yn cael ei gynnal ar gae hyfforddi Y Traeth — cartref hanesyddol y clwb.
Bydd y fenter yn cael ei harwain gan Sion Parry, sy’n dod â blynyddoedd o brofiad o hyfforddi pêl-droed merched yn Llanystumdwy. Mae swyddogion y clwb yn hyderus y bydd ei arbenigedd yn chwarae rhan allweddol yn natblygiad a llwyddiant yr adran newydd.
Cynhelir sesiwn hyfforddi agored ar 2 Gorffennaf ar gae hyfforddi Y Traeth, rhwng 18:15 a 20:00.

New Opportunity for Women: Establishing a New Women’s Football Section at Y Traeth
Porthmadog Football Club is pleased to announce its intention to establish a new women’s football section within the club. The aim of this initiative is to attract new players — whether experienced footballers or individuals wishing to take their first steps in the sport — to join the new Porthmadog women’s team.
The development of a women’s team represents a strategic and significant step for the club. It is considered the natural next stage in securing a sustainable future for the sport in the town and the surrounding area.
By establishing this new section, the club aims to strengthen and develop women’s football locally, foster long-term success, and encourage more women and girls to participate in the game at grassroots level. The initiative is also expected to strengthen community links between the club, the people of Porthmadog and the wider area.
The opportunity is open to women aged 16 and over, with the session taking place on the training pitch at Y Traeth — the historic home of the club.
The initiative will be led by Sion Parry, who brings years of experience coaching women’s football in Llanystumdwy. Club officials are confident that his expertise will play a key role in the growth and success of the new section.
An open training session will be held on 2 July on the Y Traeth training pitch, between 18:15pm and 20:00pm
