CPD Porthmadog yn ennill yr apel am le yn y Gynghrair Datblygu

CPD Porthmadog win appeal on Development League participation

Mae CPD Porthmadog bellach wedi’u cynnwys yn swyddogol yng Nghynghrair Datblygu Cymdeithas Bêl-droed Arfordir Gogledd Cymru ar ôl ennill apêl yn erbyn y penderfyniad cychwynnol i beidio â chynnwys y tîm. Mae’r canlyniad hwn yn cynrychioli trobwynt mawr i’r clwb — gan adfer sefydlogrwydd, darparu eglurder, a rhoi llwybr cystadleuol i’r chwaraewyr a’r hyfforddwyr yr oeddent wedi bod yn paratoi ar ei gyfer drwy gydol yr haf.

Roedd yr eithrio cychwynnol yn cael effaith sylweddol ar y garfan. Gyda dim gemau wedi’u trefnu a dim sicrwydd ynghylch y tymor, bu sawl chwaraewr yn chwilio am gyfleoedd mewn clybiau eraill, gan adael y grŵp yn denau o ran niferoedd ac yn ansicr. Roedd yr hyfforddwyr yn gorfod llywio cyfnod anodd lle’r oedd cymhelliant, cynllunio a chyd-ddilyniant  y garfan dan bwysau gwirioneddol.

Er hyn, ymatebodd y chwaraewyr a arhosodd gyda ymrwymiad trawiadol.

Mae’r her o’u blaen yn glir: bydd Porthmadog yn wynebu amserlen heriol wrth i’r gemau a ohiriwyd gael eu chwarae. Bydd hyn yn profi dyfnder, gwydnwch a chysondeb — ond mae hefyd yn creu cyfleoedd. Bydd chwaraewyr iau yn cael y cyfle i gamu ymlaen a chael munudau gwerthfawr.

Gyda’r tîm Datblygu wedi’i ailsefydlu, bydd y tîm cyntaf yn elwa ar gronfa ehangach o chwaraewyr, gan wella hyblygrwydd a rheoli’r garfan drwy gydol y tymor. Ar ôl cyfnod o ansicrwydd i’r chwaraewyr, yr hyfforddwyr a’r clwb, mae pawb bellach yn edrych ymlaen at ddyfodol mwy cadarnhaol a sefydlog.

Yn ystod y tymhorau diwethaf, mae rhai o chwaraewyr y tîm Datblygu wedi cael eu cyflwyno i’r tîm cyntaf yn Porthmadog. Profiad gwerthfawr yn sicr.

Yn olaf, mae’n rhaid rhoi diolch diffuant i’r rhai o fewn y clwb a weithiodd yn ddiflino ar yr apêl. Mae eu hymdrechion wedi sicrhau pêl-droed i’r tîm Datblygu — rhywbeth sy’n cael ei werthfawrogi gan bawb yn CPD Porthmadog.

CPD Porthmadog have now been officially included in the NWCFA Development League following a successful appeal against the initial decision not to include the team. This outcome represents a major turning point for the club — restoring stability, providing clarity, and finally giving players and coaches the competitive pathway, they have been preparing for throughout the summer.

The initial exclusion had a significant impact on the squad. With no fixtures scheduled and no certainty around the season, several players sought opportunities at other clubs, leaving the group stretched and unsettled. Coaches were forced to navigate a difficult period where motivation, planning, and squad cohesion were under real pressure.

Despite this, the remaining players responded with impressive commitment.

The challenge ahead is clear: Porthmadog will face a demanding schedule as postponed matches are worked through. This will test depth, resilience, and consistency — but it also creates opportunities. Younger players will have the chance to step forward and gain valuable minutes.

With the Development team reinstated, the first team will benefit from a broader pool of players, improving flexibility and squad management across the campaign. After a period of uncertainty for players, coaches, and the club, everyone is now looking forward to a more positive and stable future.

In recent seasons, players in the Development team have been handed debuts in the first team at Porthmadog.
